A Great Botox Regimen for Busy Mothers
Congratulations, Mom, you made it! You entertained and chauffeured, refereed a million squabbles, applied copious amounts of sunscreen to little bodies, and tackled that back to school list. We all love summer, but let’s face it – sometimes it’s nice to get back to the routine fall brings.
Now that school is in session, it’s time to take a breather and put yourself back on the list.
Late summer and early fall are the perfect times for busy moms to start a Botox/Dysport regimen, and I’ll share with you a recommended schedule below as well as some before & after photos of my patients.
Both Botox and Dysport work to reduce wrinkles such as frown lines, forehead furrows, and crow’s feet by relaxing the muscles of the face. The result is a smooth, natural appearance instead of feeling like you look tired or angry when your face is at rest.
Botox and Dysport are injected in tiny amounts – usually 20 to 60 units in total, and the results typically last 3 – 4 months. After this time, the toxin wears off, the muscles begin to contract, and wrinkles start to reappear. To maintain the effects, I recommend most of my patients stick to a four-month treatment regimen.
When you visit our office, we’ll create a customized treatment plan to meet your needs.
A great Botox regimen for busy mothers:
- September (after school starts)
- January (after the holiday rush)
- May (before summer begins)
An alternate Botox regimen for women without school-age children:
- November (before the holidays)
- March (spring prep)
- July (summer/fall prep)
Younger women and millennials see wonderful results from a twice-yearly Botox regimen:
- November (pre-holidays)
- May (pre-summer)
Botox and Dysport injections are the most commonly performed facial rejuvenation procedure in the United States. The procedure is extremely safe, very quick (about 15 minutes), and requires zero recovery time. For more detailed information, please see our Botox/Dysport specialty page.
