Wondering how to achieve younger, healthier looking skin?

It’s time to try UltraClear!
UltraClear laser treatments are one of the most effective skin rejuvenation solutions out there. We love the results our clients at The Look see with UltraClear!
Today, we’re answering the most common questions our clients ask about UltraClear to help you learn more about what’s possible with this skin treatment and what to expect from the experience.
Let’s get into it!
What is UltraClear?
UltraClear is an ablative erbium laser treatment that does more than fillers, neuromodulators, and microneedling alone can do for your skin.
UltraClear uses a groundbreaking cold fiber laser technology to address multiple skin conditions in a single treatment.
This laser treatment addresses skin concerns on multiple levels, including the stratum corneum, epidermis, and mid dermis.
UltraClear lasers work by removing dull, damaged outer layers of skin and applying controlled heat to the skin layers below. The precise heat creates a healing process that encourages new skin cells alongside increased collagen and elastin production.
What kind of results will I see from UltraClear laser treatment?
UltraClear delivers multiple results in one cohesive treatment, simultaneously resurfacing skin for smoother, healthier, more glowing skin and remodeling collagen for stronger tone and increased elasticity.
At The Look, clients choose UltraClear laser resurfacing to help with:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Sun damage and pigmentation
- Acne scars and other facial scars
- Uneven skin texture and dullness
- Loss of skin elasticity and firmness

Who is UltraClear laser treatment for?
We recommend UltraClear for clients of all ages.
The main goal with this advanced treatment is effective skin resurfacing.
It’s ideal for clients who have received other laser treatments (like Moxi or Sofwave) in the past and want to up the ante with something stronger.
The exact number of sessions and intensity of treatment depends on your unique skin, problem areas, and desired results.
What is the difference between UltraClear and CO2 lasers?
UltraClear and CO2 lasers are both what’s called ablative.
This means these lasers both remove the top layer of skin.
The difference between these two types of lasers is the amount of thermal energy they produce. Think of it this way, CO2 has a bigger “footprint” so more thermal energy, more inflammation, more downtime.
With UltraClear laser treatments, we can dial down the coagulation so you experience less inflammation than you would with a CO2 laser. This means you need less downtime to recover from the treatment with UltraClear!
What does post-treatment care look like for UltraClear laser resurfacing?
UltraClear lasers are ablative. This means they vaporize the top layer of skin. You can think of it like mowing and aerating the grass at the same time. Because of the intensity of the treatment, it’s important to prioritize your recovery and take proper steps to ensure your skin heals safely.
Immediately after the treatment, you can expect your face to be red. Many clients will have small blood spots across the face as well.
The evening of your treatment and the morning after, you will notice a significant increase in swelling. This is completely normal.
Post-treatment prep for UltraClear laser treatments includes:
- Sleeping on clean sheets and clean pillowcases
- Keeping all animals out of your bed
- Resting and taking it easy for a few days
- Cleansing your face (we recommend micellar water and baby shampoo)
- Consistently applying Aquafor
- Vinegar soaks
- Growth factor serums
- Restorative HA from Hydrinity
Recovery time is different for each client, but many report looking and feeling fully healed by around 8-10 days. Redness may last up to 3 months depending on the intensity of the treatment.
The downtime is fairly minimal for the level and intensity of results!
