Does "natural" equal "better"?
You can slap a label on anything, but that doesn’t always make it better (or even mean it’s true).
Here are some interesting facts:
- The FDA does not define or regulate products labeled “organic” or “natural.”
- The FDA states that cosmetics made with “organic” ingredients are not safer for consumers than those made with ingredients from other sources.
- Medical-grade skincare is already relatively natural since the FDA mandates that it contain 99.9% pure ingredients.
Medical-grade products are also formulated for the best results and backed by scientific research, while natural skin care products have few associated studies to illustrate their safety or effectiveness.
